Santa Train

Valentina's godmother keeps us informed on the cool things we can do in this area, like the Santa Train.  It is a very cool event where you board one of the local commuter trains with Mr. and Mrs. Claus.  They had carolers from some local schools and made the otherwise mundane train ride very fun.

Thank you Madrina for teaching us about the Santa train and letting us join you, Maddie and Luke for the festivities.

 After lunch we went to the Thompsons for nap time and to hang out with Maddie and Luke.  We had adventures in gingerbread making while Valentina napped.

Chrismakkuh Celebration

The girls who brunch became the girls who parent.  We went from staying up late partying to staying up late with kids and waking up way too early.  It has been a fun ride watching our kids get older and play more and more with each other.  It is also fun to teach them about our different family traditions.   

On this evening we enjoyed celebrating Christmas and Hanukkah.  Looking forward to many more years of celebrating!

A visit to the new office

This afternoon Valentina and Adrian visited my new office.  Valentina really enjoyed walking the halls and met some of my colleagues.  She was also a fan of our snack area, which had items for her... baby food pouches.

The best present I could've asked for

This evening Valentina, Akira and Adrian gave me an early Christmas present to celebrate my new job... a new purse.  But, the greatest present I could have ever asked for is my baby girl.  She even put a bow on her head to show how great of a gift she is.

Christmas at the White House

The last very cool, amazing thing I was invited to as a congressional staffer was the White House Ball.  ]There is no better date than one to the White House!  Adrian and I had a blast, one of our favorite babysitters watched over Valentina and a great evening was had by all.

Like any good parent we had to bring something from the White House for Valentina... she decided to eat it though.
