Manic Monday

Last Monday we had a crazy start to the week. We already knew it was going to be a crazy week but Little V decided to add some more adventure to it.

The tally in our house was Valentina 2 - Parents 0 and it was only 8:30am.  Here's the story... Adrian was making Valentina her breakfast which consisted of scrambled eggs and refried beans. She was playing as he watched her and in the course of less than 90 seconds she mover her chair blocking a drawer of the wine cabinet and pulled out a plastic tube of yellow paint. It still had the plastic seal around the top, but that did not stop her. She decided to unscrew the top and show us her artistic capabilities by painting rug and floor yellow. Valentina 1 - Parents 0. We cleaned up the mess and managed to get virtually all the paint off the rug and floor. While Valentina was eating her breakfast Adrian decided to make me some breakfast tacos. In the less than 2 minutes he was doing that and watching Valentina she managed to get beans everywhere. In her hair, clothes, face, chair and floor. It was a mess. She immediately went into the bathtub because baby wipes were not going to cut it. While Adrian was cleaning her i laughed when I discovered beans along the stairwell and the door to the bathroom.  That morning consisted of paint, beans and a trip to Lowes for child safety locks for everything downstairs

Park Adventures

One of the best things about Tia Cindy and Incle Jimmy's house is the swing set nearby. We had fun at the park and everyone enjoyed the swings, including Elmo.

Roller Hockey with Tia Julia

Our friend Julia is by far the most athletic person we know. She played softball on scholarship at Brown and coaches softball and soccer. She also plays roller hockey and is taking up ice hockey.

We took Valentina to watch her and a couple other friends play roller hockey. She was fascinated. To commemorate the day Julia brought her a baby Capitals hockey stick and some foam pucks. Happiness!

It is Fall Festival Time

I was never aware of Fall Festivals until a couple of years ago when Adrian and I stumbled upon one.  Now that we have a toddler I have looked at the websites of at least 8 fall festivals to see which ones we want to visit.

For the first festival adventure we joined the Petersons and Kormans to visit Cox Family Farms for their preview weekend.  This place was very fun and likely one we will visit again.

Valentina went on a slide with her Daddy. She was indifferent on the way down but then started to cry when it ended.  She also walked A LOT, had a hayride and had fun visiting the baby animals and exploring with her friends.

Here are some of our favorite pictures from our adventures.
