Sisterly Love

The interactions between these two are fun to watch. Valentina always smiles and throws in the occasional giggle when she sees her puppy. Akira seeks her out more and tries to console her when she's crying.  They are adorable!

Santa and a Fire Station Visit

Mother Nature blessed us with a beautiful sunny and mild day so we took a stroll through Old Town. We were pleasantly surprised to see Santa at the fire station. Valentina loved her visit with the big guy and was able to meet some of Alexandria's finest firefighters. 

First Christmas

Last year, on the day after Christmas, we heard Valentina's heartbeat for the first time. This year we were excited to spend the birth of baby Jesus with her. She is by far the best Christmas gift we've ever received.

Cookie Time

One of my favorite things to do at Christmas is make cookies. My grandma and mom both made cookies for friends and we are continuing the tradition. Having a pastry chef husband and a Kitchen Aid miker makes the process A LOT quicker. 

Below Valentina made her first cookie with Daddy and it was her Great Grandma Ramona's pan de polvo recipe. Her little feet even made their way into the flour.  We look forward to many years of cookie baking as a family. 

20 Weeks

Our little girl is growing so fast. 

Lots of catching up to do...

Many exciting things have happened since my last post. There was Some decorating, girls night, an office Christmas party and a huge milestone.

Someone found her toes. 

Baby's 1st snow but we wanted more. 

Adrian and I were invited to the White House Christmas Party so Valentina enjoyed a girls night out with Tia Jana and her roommates Claudia, Mary and Hope. She didn't miss us and I survived a night out without my baby.

Akira is sharing her space with the Christmas tree. 

Akira and Valentina met the big guy together. It was great. 

We went to our Hinojosa staff Chriatmas party. Valentina loved all the attention. 

Yesterday Valentina rolled over for the first time ever. This picture was a few seconds after it happened. I think she was shocked she did it. 

Guess who's 4 months old?

Yesterday Ms. Valentina turned 4 months old. We celebrated with a trip to the pediatrician. She got a gold star for her health and endured another round of shots. 

Our baby girl is 13 lbs 7 oz, 24 1/4 inches long and all around perfect. 

Unfortunately her shots did affect her so we had to postpone her 4 month photoshoot. In lieu of this photos here's a picture of Valentina being little miss independent.
